Matt Olson Charity Game:

On Monday, November 6th the Minnesota Blue Ox and the Minnesota Moose will face off in a charity game raising funds for Matt Olson. The game will follow the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Museum Women’s Face-Off Classic between Bemidji State University and the University of Minnesota Duluth that begins at 6 pm. All proceeds will benefit Matt Olson who suffered a serious neck injury while playing in the USPHL in 2016. There will be a silent auction, a chance for fans to take their picture with Herb Brooks’ 1980 Olympic Gold Medal, and post-game autographs from a few of the Hall of Fame inductees in attendance.

Forwards in the Spotlight:

Kyle Kester – The Waconia, MN native tallied his first hat trick plus some this past weekend. Kester scored 4 goals in the 10-27 match up against the Steele County Blades and kept his momentum going as he charted 2 assists later in the weekend against the Hudson Havoc. Kester now has 4 goals and 9 assists this season.

Daniel Nikiforov – Tallying 5 points this weekend, the California native had a stand out weekend. Nikiforov started the weekend by scoring 2 goals in the same shift in the 10-27 game against the Blades and then tallied 2 assists the next day as well. Nikiforov kept the scoring trend going for the weekend as he scored yet another goal in the 10-29 game against the Hudson Havoc. Daniel Nikiforov now has 4 goals and 3 assists this season.

Tyrese Murph – Murph, tallied his first goal of the season this past weekend against the Hudson Havoc in addition to charting an assist the previous day against the Blades. Murph, a native of Grand Forks, now has one goal and two assists this season.
