Weekend Preview- January 19th and 20th

After two roads wins last weekend, the Minnesota Blue Ox come home for two games against the Hudson Havoc on Friday, January 19th and the Minnesota Moose on Saturday, January 20th.

Blue Ox Most Recently:

The Minnesota Blue Ox collected 4 more points this past weekend against the Ironwood Fighting Yoopers. With two goals in the first alone, the Blue Ox took an early lead to the Yoopers and two more goals in the third allowed the Ox to seal the deal on the final game of the weekend. With the Ox putting up 53 shots on goal they were able to tally their 25th win of the season.

Havoc Most Recently:

The Hudson Havoc are looking for their 8th win of the season as they face off against the Minnesota Blue Ox on Friday, January 19th at 7 pm in Coon Rapids. Since the last meeting with the Blue Ox, Dylan Marty has continue to lead the Havoc in points with 21 goals and 11 assists in total. In net, the Havoc turn to netminder Lane Gregory who has logged over 1100 minutes in net this season and has blocked over 635 shots on goal to land a .886 save percentage this season. In their last game against the Blue Ox, the Blue Ox swept the Havoc by a score of 5-0 and Blue Ox goalie Boudreau got to write down yet another shutout in net.

Moose Most Recently:

The Moose will travel across town for a rivalry game in Blue Ox territory. The Moose, who are currently 28-5-2, are coming off of a 4-1 win over the Minnesota Mullets. The Moose put up an early lead of 2 goals in the second and accompanied those with 2 more in the third to overtake the Mullets. Dylan Gast and Gaving Proeh have been leading the Moose in points, for quite some time. Gast has put up 25 goals this season with Proeh not far behind at 16 goals. In net, the Moose have two goalies who are blocking shots left and right. Jacob Fry has a current save percentage of .932 and the Moose’s new goalie Bronson Moore has a save percentage of .970 after just three games in net. The Blue Ox will match up with the Moose on Saturday, January 20th at home with a start time of 7 pm.
