Blue Ox Blank Blades 7-0 to Secure Their 10th Win

On the road again, the Blue Ox found themselves in Owatonna, MN facing off against the Steele County Blades on Friday night.

A night filled with excitement began quite early as Kyle Kester kicked off the night with a goal at 2:02 of the first period. Blue Ox Swiss defenseman, Levin Meier, later got the perfect pass from Halme and Scherz to tally a power play goal.

The Minnesota Blue Ox came into the second period up 2-0 and charted 4 unanswered goals throughout the second period. Kester nabbed the first two goals of the second period, rounding out a hat trick for the Minnesota native. Daniel Nikiforov would find the back of the net on the next two goals for the Ox making the score 6-0 heading out of the second period.

The lone third period goal came from Kester who now had 4 goals on the night against the Blades of Steele County. The Minnesota Blue Ox close out the night with a 7-0 win.

Philip Schader, Tyrese Murph, Eric Worre, Mitchell Lund, and Bailey Emery would all finish the night with an assist. Oskari Halme, Orlando Scherz, Chris Ciolek and Nick Mueller would all tally 2 assists for the Friday night game.

The Minnesota Blue Ox outshot the Blades 38-22 in the contest and goaltender Brady Boudreau would chart another win. After this win, the Minnesota Blue Ox are now 10-1-1 in the 2017-2018 season.
